Official Data: Mexican states with higher projection in electric vehicles sales
The non-plug-in hybrid vehicle dominates the market in all Mexico. Locations with more sales are Mexico City, the State of Mexico and the State of Jalisco.

The data registered by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography up to October 2020, points out that Mexico is the territory with more perspective in electric vehicle sales at national level.  By that date, it registered a total of 624 vehicles out of which 567 were non-plug-in hybrid units, 37 plug-in hybrid units and 20 electric units.

State of Mexico appears in second place with 453 vehicles registered; 423 non-plug-in hybrid units, 16 electric units and 14 plug-in hybrid units. State of Jalisco is in third place with a total of 165 units; 154 non-plug-in hybrid units, seven plug-in hybrid units and four electric units.

The list continues with Nuevo Leon, which appears as the fourth State with higher sale after reaching in October 2020 a total of 133 registered vehicles; 122 non-plug-in hybrid units, six plug-in hybrid units and five electric units.  State of Querétaro comes after with a total of 70 vehicles; 61 non-plug-in hybrid units, eight plug-in hybrid units and one electric unit.

State of Michocán de Ocampo registered a total of 65 units out of which 62 are non-plug-in hybrid units, two are plug-in hybrid units and one electric unit. Puebla comes after with a registry of 64 vehicles in total; 62 are non-plug-in hybrid units, one plug-in hybrid unit and one electric unit.

State of Guanajuato has a total of 46 units, out of which 41 are non-plug-in hybrid units, three  are plug-in hybrid units and one electric unit.  State of Sinaloa comes after with a total of 45 vehicles; 42 non-plug-in units, two plug-in hybrid units and one electric unit.

And the list of the first ten is completed with State of Coahuila de Zaragoza with a registry of 44 units, out of which 41 are non-plug-in hybrid technology and two are plug-in hybrid units.

However, Tesla vehicles are out of the recording. The American company delivered 499550 electric vehicles worldwide in 2020.

On the other hand, the Mexican electric vehicle market has currently 19 available models which vary among local and international brands.  These vehicles are also organized in different price ranges which are according to the vehicle line and the charging autonomy

Among them are: Renault Twizy, JAC E Sei 1, Zacua MX3, Renault Kangoo Z.E., Chevrolet Bolt, Nissan LEAF, Tesla Model 3, BMW i3, Mercedes-Benz EQC, Audi e-tron.
