The competitiveness of electric vehicles is one of the issues that has been put at the centre of the equation when talking about the technological transition that already has to be faced.
It is well known that these segments are more cost-effective than fuel-powered engines. But the key lies in their efficiency and how to maximise it to make this difference even more noticeable.
“The energy mix of the countries is fundamental. If there are more green energies, the “well-to-wheel” will be much more favourable for electric cars”, he explains during his participation in the event “Electric Mobility in Spain“, organised by Grupo Portal Movilidad.
According to him, this is because if electricity production can be decarbonised, the same will happen with mobility.
Another of the points to be covered is the development of battery technologies for these segments.
And the third axis revolves around the industry’s vision.
“We have been working for 50 years on a very fixed, unchanging basis, and today we are seeing a lot of changes”, the specialist acknowledges in this respect.
At the same time, he sees how the design used to revolve around cars, and how their recharging must now be managed in a different way.
“Today we have to think about recharging taking into account above all things that this will happen during the time that the unit is stopped, and this must be done in the minimum time possible,” adds Vallecillos in this sense.
For more than nine years they have consolidated their position in the Spanish market as leaders in the development of recharging infrastructures.
Today they specialise in providing answers to the change of paradigm in mobility, carrying out reports and projects to define the structures that best suit the needs of their clients.
Among the company’s major milestones is the development of the design guide for Ionity’s superchargers.
In this regard, he says: “At that time we came up with a design guide to optimise the time and financial cost of the installation, which also allowed us to reduce the opex that is of so much concern”.
Tesla was another of their success stories, as they were the ones who accompanied the automotive company’s landing in Spain.
They also work together with the Barcelona City Council, who “are one of the benchmarks in electromobility at a national level”.
They also participated in 80% of the development of the electric bus depot projects for EMT Madrid.
To this extensive list can be added collaborations with Endesa and Iberdrola, who also received Evectra’s engineering services in their projects.
