Global Mobility Call: Sustainable mobility super event confirms some of its first speakers
Prestigious speakers such as Jeffrey Sachs, Adina Valean, Raquel Sánchez Jiménez and Luis Gallegos will be some of the speakers in the Main Auditorium from 14 to 16 June 2022 at IFEMA MADRID.

Global Mobility Call, the international congress organised by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub, which will bring together from 14 to 16 June all the players from the main economic sectors involved in the development of sustainable mobility, launches this Monday, 4 April, the sale of tickets for the different areas and contents of the congress, with an Early Bird offer until 15 May of up to 50% off the official prices.

The launch coincides with the announcement of some of the first internationally renowned speakers who have already confirmed their participation in Global Mobility Call, including names such as Jeffrey Sachs, Adina Valean, Raquel Sánchez Jiménez and Luis Gallego.

All of them will take part in the programme in the Main Auditorium, where they will address the most pressing challenges of sustainable mobility as a driver of economic, social and environmental transformation. The list of international business and institutional leaders will be extended in the coming days.

Early Bird Discounts Basic-Premium Passes (until 15 May)

In order to make it as easy as possible for professionals, business and institutional executives to attend, and to offer the greatest flexibility in their participation modalities, Global Mobility Call has established a wide range of tickets, from Basic 1 day, with a rate of 150 ¤ (75 ¤ Early Bird), which gives access to the forums and exhibition area for a single day, to the Basic 3 day ticket whose rate is 300 ¤ (150 ¤ Early Bird), with access to forums and exhibition area during the three days of the congress, from 14 to 16 June.

Likewise, the Premium 1-day ticket, with a rate of 275€ (151€ with Early Bird rate of 45% discount, gives access to the Main Auditorium, forums and exhibition area for one day only, and Premium 3-day tickets, with a rate of 750€ (413€ Early Bird rate) which gives access to the Main Auditorium, as well as forums and exhibition area from 14 to 16 June.

International leaders in sustainable mobility

The Main Auditorium of IFEMA MADRID will host the central programme of Global Mobility Call in which leading voices from the business sector, institutions, academics and entrepreneurs will participate in the forum for debate, conferences and presentations on the international agenda, and new projects and trends in sustainable mobility, as well as on the investment and development opportunities opened up by the European recovery funds. Among the main speakers, the following are confirmed:

Jeffrey Sachs, development economist and chairman of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, will participate on 15 June in the Main Auditorium. He is regarded as the leading international economic advisor of his generation, author of two landmark books on smart and sustainable global development.

He was special advisor to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and has held a number of high-level advisory positions in the international arena and with governments in Latin America, Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, Asia and Africa.

Adina Vãlean, European Commissioner for Transport, will participate on 14 June in the Main Auditorium. Her career highlights her 12-year stint in the European Parliament, where she chaired the ITRE Committee (July-December 2019); chair of the ENVI Committee (2017-2019) and vice-president of the European Parliament (2014-2017).

She was also a member of the Romanian Parliament from 2004-2007. Vãlean holds a Master’s degree in European Integration and Security Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.

Raquel Sánchez Jiménez, Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda of the Spanish Government, will speak on 16 June in the Main Auditorium. With a degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Labour Law and Social Security, she has been very focused throughout her professional career with relevant positions linked to climate change, urban and air mobility, urban planning, the environment and sustainability.

Luis Gallego, CEO of International Airlines Group will participate on 14 June in the Main Auditorium. He has led International Airlines Group since September 2020, after having chaired Iberia since January 2014. IAG is the parent company of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and LEVEL, one of the largest airline groups in the world, with 533 aircraft flying to 279 destinations and carrying some 118 million passengers a year (before COVID).

During his time at Iberia, he launched Iberia Express, as CEO since January 2012, turning the new Iberia subsidiary into one of the most efficient and punctual airlines in Europe. At Vueling, he was COO from 2009, when the airline merged with low-cost carrier Clickair, which he co-founded in 2006.

He held various positions at the Spanish regional airline Air Nostrum between 1997 and 2006. Born in Madrid, he holds a degree in aeronautical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA from IESE.
