Fisker will launch volume deliveries of the electric SUV Ocean to customers in the USA in the week of June 19. An EPA certification was also approved for the vehicle.
Deliveries of the electric Ocean, which only started production in November last year, are commencing in the USA soon, although at smaller amounts than initially planned, as Fisker lowered production targets by up to 10,000 vehicles for this year last month.
A sales approval for Europe was also issued recently, although it is not clear when volume deliveries will commence there. The first Fisker Ocean Launch Edition was handed over in Copenhagen in early May.
“We are super excited to start getting Fisker Ocean SUVs into customer hands,” CEO Henrik Fisker said. “Our US customers have been exceptionally patient as we have moved through the regulatory process, but we are now ready to enter the next phase of the company’s history.”
The Fisker Ocean Extreme has also received an official EPA range estimation of 360 miles and has received both an EPA Certificate of Conformity and a California Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order (EO), approving the Fisker Ocean Extreme for sale and delivery in all US states.
According to Fisker, the CARB Executive Order grants the Fisker Ocean Extreme the maximum 4.0 Zero-Emission Vehicle credits per vehicle sold.
